Over the last twelve years Dr. Saroja has been quietly establishing her reputation as one of the best teachers of CMS College of Science and Commerce. She is a researcher with a strong work ethic and her doctoral study on the Cultural and Educational problems of the tribes of Western Ghats was done under the aegis of the Central Institute of Indian Languages. This study has brought a new lease of life to those tribes. She has contributed many articles to journals and other publications brought out by several universities and institutes. Dr. Saroja has published a collection of short stories in Tamil under the pseudonym 'Pakshi'.
