| Activities of EXONS: |
- Organizes guest lectures & seminars in major areas of Biosciences.
- "One day personality development program" is being organized for I UG & I PG
students to address their overall personality development.
- Experts from various research institutes and industries provide hands on experience to the PG students of biotechnology by workshops.
- I year UG & PG students are exposed to various Bioindustries by industrial visits.
- Our students actively participating in various inter collegiate Bioscience Competitions
conducted by other colleges and Universities.

| Curricular and Co-curricular Activities: |
The Department offers the three-year undergraduate B.Sc. Biotechnology programme, as well as the M.Sc. Biotechnology programme, under the credit-based choice system, with Autonomous curricula and syllabi.
The Department conducts seminars and workshops regularly on the emerging biotech-related research areas for the benefit of students and faculty members. Over the years faculty members have also been encouraged to attend off-campus programmes (workshops/ seminars/ conferences/ faculty-development programmes). The following programmes were conducted during the period 2007-2009:
- International Seminar on Recent trends in Agricultural Biotechnology & Higher Educational
Opportunities in Biosciences, on 2nd March 2009
- Workshop on Bioinstrumentation on 29th and 30th Sept. 2008
- Workshop on Molecular Techniques on 14th Oct 2008.

| Extra curricular: |
A number of the Biotechnology students are involved in various on-campus as well as off-campus extra-curricular activities, and have represented the college in sports, athletics and dance.
